‘Miracle Workers: Dark Ages’ Brings Back The Cast For A Whole New Story

Miracle Workers was one of the most surprisingly delightful comedy series. The first season was a tale about God (Steve Buscemi) and all of the angels who manage heaven for him. When things aren’t going as he hoped, God bets Miracles department manager (Daniel Radcliffe) and his new assistant, (Geraldine Viswanathan), that he can’t make two people fall in love before the time runs out. If they fail, the Earth will be destroyed. Along the way, God’s long-suffering assistant, and former miracle department employee (Karan Soni) helps round out the cast of one of the best comedic ensembles of the year.

The good news is that season 2 of the show is coming. the weird news is that they’ve decided to abandon the God/Miracles storyline and turn the show into more of a seasonal anthology. The new season is called Miracle Workers: Dark Ages, and it will feature the entire original cast, as well as the new addition of Peter Serafinowicz as the brutal ruler and father of Radcliffe’s new character.

It will be interesting to see how the new season works out. It’s worth checking out just for the talent and the fact that we already know they’ve got great after last season. Miracle Workers: Dark Ages hits TBS in January of 2020.
