NBC’s ‘Munsters’ Reboot ‘Mockingbird Lane’ Probably A No Go

The decision isn’t final, but it looks like we will be spared from another remake this season. Word is that NBC executives have seen the pilot for the Bryan Fuller helmed reboot of The Munsters, Mockingbird Lane, and they are heading toward not picking up the show.

The series was set to star by Jerry O’Connell as family patriarch Herman Munster, Portia de Rossi as his wife Lily and Eddie Izzard as Grandpa. While execs loved the visual style that Fuller always brings to the screen, they didn’t feel the story really worked.

The good news for Fuller is that this doesn’t mean he’s out of a job. He still has his Hannibal Lecter series that is set to start mid season with a 13 episode order.
