Sad Day For Late Night As Craig Ferguson Announces Exit

The writing has been on the wall ever since it was announced that David Letterman was retiring. Back when Craig Ferguson was initially brought in for the Late Late Show a decade ago, it was assumed that he was being groomed to replace Letterman when he retired. Sadly, while Ferguson is really one of the funniest and most inventive hosts on TV (who else has a gay robot as a sidekick), he’s never been the ratings darling that the network wanted him to be.

When it was first announced that Letterman was calling it quits, there was a lot of buzz about Chelsea Handler taking over the spot. Since the job went to Stephen Colbert, it is now the general assumption that she’ll take over the slot when Ferguson packs it in.

It looks like the glue factory for good ole Secretariat.
