Other than the Simpsons, there’s no cartoon that really does the holidays as well as Bob’s Burgers. I will always remember Bob’s absinthe-fueled, Totoro-inspired Thanksgiving hallucination as one of my happiest animation moments in recent years. News out of Friday’s Fox animation panel is that we might be in for the best Bob’s Burger’s holiday yet, when their hour-long musical Holiday special airs later this year. We didn’t get too many details about it other than the fact that it will be epic and it will feature Adam Driver.
Other Bob’s Burgers news from the panel includes the announcement that we’ll be getting a completely fan-drawn episode this season, a new Bob’s couch gag would be coming for The Simpsons, and Silicon Valley star Thomas Middleditch will guest star in an episode as the host of Gene’s very first sleepover!
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
