Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for the much anticipated “Ready Player One.” The film is an adaptation of the Ernest Cline novel and will be directed by Steven Spielberg. The surreal scifi adventure takes place in the year 2045 where Wade Watts (Tye Sheridan) finds himself in a worldwide contest to find a literal Easter egg hidden in the virtual reality work of OASIS, with the finder gaining control of the entire OASIS world.
The film has been in production for quite some time, and after watching this trailer I now understand why. Check out the amazing and surreal trailer below:
Scripted by Cline and Zak Penn (The Incredible Hulk), the film also stars Olivia Cooke, Ben Mendelsohn, T.J. Miller, Simon Pegg, and Mark Rylance. Ready Player One opens in theaters on March 30, 2018.
