It sounds like fans of the Matt Fraction Hawkeye series could be in for a treat when the Disney+ Hawkeye series hits the streaming network in the fall of 2021. Today, Jeremy Renner was on hand to talk about the new series and announce that it will be focused on his mentorship of (an as of yet un-cast) Kate Bishop. Here’s what he told the fans in Hall H.
“What I get to do in the show ultimately is shepherd an amazing character, ultimately a better version of me and the sentiment of that is the fiber of what Hawkeye is, at least what I think Hawkeye is a superhero without superpowers and I get to teach someone else to be a superhero without super powers.”
While there weren’t a lot of other details given out about the show, Kevin Feige did say that the series would take some time to explore Clint Barton’s exploits as Ronin in the five year period between Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
