Whether you were one of the people thrilled to see the FOX Marvel characters come home to the MCU or one of the people sad to see a little more diversity in entertainment die, the deal is now done. Despite news that the $71.3 billion acquisition of Fox was still a little ways away from completion, stockholders of FOX received a new shareholder letter today that bears the logos of both companies on it. This means that the deal probably went through on January 1st.
One big question that fans will now not be able to stop asking about is: when will FOX’s characters be coming to the MCU? Is this why Kevin Feige recently said that we could start seeing something later this year? Does it mean that they will go back and shoehorn in some sort of introductory scene into the end of Avengers: Endgame? We don’t know the answer to any of these questions, but it’s going to be a really interesting 2019!
