There hasn’t been a lot of news about Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau’s Mandalorian and Grogu film, but we are now getting news that one of the villains they’ll be going up against is a bounty hunter that has been part of Star Wars since the Clone Wars.
Embo is a bounty hunter that appeared several times in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and was actually voiced by Dave Filoni. The hunter’s main weapons were a bowcaster and a hat that he could throw and use as a shield. Yet, even without a blaster, he was considered second in skill only to Cad Bane.
The character lived on in Star Wars for many years after the Clone Wars. Between books like Dark Disciple, and several comic book appearances, fans have been able to follow him from his humble beginnings, to his close ties with Leia and the New Republic, and his eventual retirement to a farm. Now it’s looking like he will possibly be called in to kill Rotta The Hutt, who is set to be played by The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White.
Filoni will once again be voicing the character, meaning that he’s joining a cast that already includes Pedro Pascal as The Mandalorian, Jeremy Allen White as Rotta The Hutt, and Sigourney Weaver in a mystery role.
Will the film hit its modest box office estimate?
He can't fully replace Stevenson, but let's hope he brings something great to the role.
Who's face is that?
Pre-Orders open on January 9th.
