‘Voltron’ Live-Action Flick From ‘Red Notice’ Director Sparks Bidding War

It looks like Voltron is definitely getting a live-action adaptation care of Red Notice director, Rawson Marshall Thurber, the only question is where will it land. It’s now being reported by Deadline that several studios including Universal and Amazon are now in a bidding war over the film. Interestingly, Netflix, the home of both Red Notice and the recent hit animated reboot, Voltron: Legendary Defender, has not jumped in on the action.

We have no info on the story, only that it was written by Thurber and Ellen Shanman, off of a story by Thurber.

If you want a good tease of a live-action Voltron story, we’ve always loved the Alex Albrecht directed short, Voltron: The End, starring Timothy Omundson (Psych/ This is Us) as Lance.
