During tonight’s episode of Legion, we got a full five minute clip from ‘Alien: Covenant’ and it did not disappoint. Along with meeting the majority of the cast, which includes Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England, Benjamin Rigby, and James Franco.
The clip is described as the Prologue for the film. I’m not sure if that means they won’t be including it with the actual film release though. If anything, it gives us a good chance to meet everyone, see how the relationships are set up, who is married to whom, who resents other crew members, and the news that James Franco is the captain of the ship.
Hands down, the best part of the clip is the extremely obvious nod to the original Alien film. I’m not going to spoil it for you, but it makes the whole thing worth watching.
