There’s some great news today about the upcoming LEGO film, LEGO, THE PIECE OF RESISTANCE. IT seems like they are adding some really great voices to the cast.
The film which is coming from the mind behind both the 21 Jumpstreet reboot and Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs, tells the story of Emmet (voiced by Chris Pratt). His is an “instruction worker” who is mistaken for the Master Builder. He and The Lego crew then goes on a quest to prevent a tyrant from gluing the universe together. Along with Pratt, it had already been announced that Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, and Morgan Freeman were on the project. Now it is being announced that Will Ferrell, Liam Neeson, Nick Offerman, and Alison Brie are coming aboard as well. .
Ferrell will portray the film’s main baddie, President Business, Neeson will be playing his Henchman, Bad Cop. Offerman will be playing a pirate with a personal vendetta against the President.
Lego: Piece of Resistance opens on February 7th, 2014.
It seems like they are going out of their way to find all the pieces they need to make this a great movie.
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
