Boggle
Boggle is one of those games that every family should have. If you don’t have it, then you need it. It is a word game, which means it’s kind of educational, but still a lot fun. Although Boggle has been around for years now, it’s finally getting a high tech facelift. A problem with the old “analog” boggle is that you’d always lose pieces like cubes, the timer, or the case you play in would crack. Well all that has been resolved with the new digital Boggle. Not only are the letter blocks contained inside the new Boggle disc, but it also has a built in electronic timer. The game is easy to play and just as fun as the original.

Clue Secrets and Spies
Do you like Clue? Well this is about as close to clue as Klingons are to Wookiees. That said, this is an interesting game, just not what you might expect given the giant CLUE on the box. This is more of a spy game than a traditional whodonit. Instead of winning by solving the crime, you win by earning the most points. The scoring can be a little awkward so this is the type of game where parents and kids might want to play together. If you like spy games and cloak and dagger type stuff, you could really enjoy this game. But don’t pick it up expecting to just find the latest update of Clue.

Monopoly City Edition
If you like Monopoly but are getting a little tired of houses and hotels, then you are in for a treat with Monopoly City Edition. Instead of just moving around the board and picking up properties, in this version of the game you actually have to get building permits to build your skyscrapers around the city. The game uses a lot more planning and strategy than traditional Monopoly, but that might be one of the reasons people seem to be enjoying it so much. For instance, while in the old game, you’d get in someone’s way by buying a piece of property they want, here you would put up a power plant next to their skyscraper. It’s a lot of fun and it is nice to see this new adaptation of the game.
