A bunch of new photos popped online today via Celebuzz from the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. They show Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield) meeting Max Dillon (Jamie Foxx) pre-Electro. The interesting thing in the photos is that he’s got his mask off in some of the photos and on in the others. There’s a tiny chance that it means that Foxx’s character might know his identity, but chances are it is just the difference between actual shooting and rehearsals.

I’m liking a lot of what I’ve seen so far from this film, but I think the nerdy look they’ve gone with for Max Dillon is a bit much. Right now it is looking more like Jerry Lewis in the Nutty Professor than the origin tale of a major bad guy from the Spider-Man mythos.

Amazing Spider-Man stars Jamie Foxx, Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Dane DeHaan, Shailene Woodley, Paul Giamatti, Felicity Jones, Chris Cooper, and Sally Field.

Official Synopsis:
The Amazing Spider-Man 2:

In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.
