This video was first posted back in April when Hostess first started having it’s bankruptcy problems. Now that it is looking like Hostess is going down for good and Twinkies will be no more, the video has popped back up and is starting to go viral.

What is most amazing about the video is that the song was actually written and sung by an 11-year old boy. This kid has a deeper love for Twinkies than I think I’ve ever known for another human being.

Lyrics
ODE TO HOSTESS
When I heard you were goin’ bankrupt
Bought a thousand Twinkies at the store
It’s gonna take a whole lot of golden goodness
To satisfy this space inside
If you don’t make ’em anymore

How I love that white cream filling
So many empty wrappers are on the floor
Thought if I bought enough of your spongy snack cakes
I could keep you by my side
Keep you from shuttin’ all your doors

‘Cause there’ll be no Ho-Hos
If I lose you, Hostess
There’ll be no Ding-Dongs
If I lose you, Hostess
Like melting Sno-Balls
My eyes will do the same, if you go away
Every day it will rain, rain, rain…

Not sure that I can pick a favorite
So many tasty choices to even try
Zingers, Suzy-Qs and Mini Muffins
Cupcakes with that squiggly line
Cherry and Apple Fruit Pies

Oh I’m just afraid, this is something I can’t understand
100 Calorie Packs won’t change my mind
But for you, I’ll try I’ll try I’ll try I’ll try
I’ll pick up your healthy options ’til you’re healthy
Even buy some Nature’s Pride

‘Cause there’ll be no Donettes
If I lose you, Hostess
Powdered or Chocolate
If I lose you, Hostess
Like melting Sno-Balls
My eyes will do the same, if you go away
Every day it will rain, rain, rain…
