If you ever wanted to store your perishable foods in something reminiscent of Slimer from The Ghostbusters, then you’ll love this new zero energy biofridge.

The new device was invented by Russian designer Yuriy Dmitriev. He calls it the Bio Robot Refrigerator and it uses a green goo that suspends and cools food once inserted.

The fridge, which can be mounted on the wall or ceiling, is filled with a biopolymer gel — which has no odor and is not sticky — and it is suspended and cooled until you need it again.

Dmitriev said that the “bio robots” inherent in the gel that use luminescence — light generated in cold temperatures — to preserve food.

Personally, I just don’t know if I’m ok with chilling my grapes or cheese inside a massive wad of ectoplasm.
