Some great new Los Angeles footage from the set of “The Dark Knight Rises” popped up in the last couple days and we wanted to make sure that everyone got a chance to see it because it is pretty damned sweet. With all the footage that has been shot, I’d like to see something official soon. There’s only so much that you can really get from a shaky cell phone. Also, as I’ve mentioned more than a couple of times… All this paparazzi style video just gives us unfinished out of context stuff that could be totally misleading about the movie.
First up, we’ve got some video of The Batwing flying on cables. I’ve got to admit, I am really jealous of the people in the crowd who got to witness that first hand. I am really pleased to see that Christopher Nolan is going out of his way to do so much practical effects work instead of leaving it all to CGI.
Next we’ve got a pretty sweet chase seen featuring the Batpod. I’m starting to wonder if maybe Mattel is behind all these videos hitting the net. These vehicle vids are just a giant commercial for the toys that kids are going to be asking for in six months!
“The Dark Knight Rises” stars Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Tom Hardy and Anne Hathaway. It is set for release 7/20/2012.
