Actor/Director Olivia Wilde is coming off the success of directing Booksmart and has landed a new gig directing a Marvel film for Sony. According to a new report from Deadline, The unnamed product is part of a move by the studio to not only mine the Spider-Verse IP for new stories, but to use those stories as a vehicle to bring more diverse voices both in-front of and behind the camera than the industry has traditionally used in comic book movies.
While there is currently no word on who the film will be based on, Spider-Woman is the safest bet. It could be Silver Sable, Black Cat, Spider-Ghost, Silk, or even Arana, but c’mon… we all know it’s going to be Spider-Woman
