After months of talk, CBS All-Access has finally dropped the first teaser for Stephen King’s The Stand. And? Well, it’s a teaser. We feel teased, but there’s not much more we can tell from a 30-second commercial with 20 seconds of footage in it.
In the new series from New Mutants director, Josh Boone, we get to revisit Stephen King’s post-apocalyptic world where the struggle for good and evil comes down to who wins in a battle of wills between the 108-year-old Mother Abagail (Whoopi Goldberg) and Randall Flagg (Alexander Skarsgard (the Dark Man.)”
Along with Goldberg and Skarsgard, the mini-series also stars James Marsden, Odessa Young, Jovan Adepo, Amber Heard, Owen Teague, Henry Zaga, Brad William Henke, Greg Kinnear, Irene Bedard, and Nat Wolff.
Based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King, CBS All Access’s The Stand stars Whoopi Goldberg, Alexander Skarsgård, James Marsden, Odessa Young, Jovan Adepo, and many more. The limited event series will also feature an all-new coda written by Stephen King. Don’t miss the premiere of The Stand on Thursday, Dec. 17, streaming exclusively on CBS All Access.
