The world thought it was done with Karate Kid long before Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith rebooted the franchise. But, with the eventual success of Kobra Kai on Youtube Premium and then Netflix, there was no way that the studios were going to pass up the chance to squeeze out a few more pennies from the beloved IP.
Enter Karate Kid: Legends, a new film that brings together Jackie Chan’s Han with Ralph Macchio’s Daniel-son. They must team up to train the next generation in the form of newcomer, Ben Wang.
Will Karate and Kung-Fu come together into a cinematic masterpiece, or will this go down as another money grab that no one asked for? We’ll find out when the film hits theater son May 30th, 2025.
Daniel arrives in Beijing, where Mr. Han has been seeking him out. Han has a new protege, Li Fong. The two mentors must collaborate to instruct Li Fong, but it remains to be seen if their instructional approaches will be compatible.
