OK… it doesn’t actually work as in dialing up new galaxies, but it lights up and the dialing wheel actually functions!
Stargate is one of those things that people either love or have never really experienced. Along with the movie, the franchise has spawned at least three different TV series, multiple video games, and there’s even a new film reboot trilogy in the works.
At the center of the franchise are the actual Stargates, monolithic statues that can be used to dial up distant locations across the universe. Now, someone has come up with a way for you to have your own mini Stargate right on your desk. The Stargate can be printed using the plans the creator has posted on Thingiverse, and can even be powered with the help of an Arduino and a stepper motor.
