Adele just recently won six Grammys, but the award she picked up last night for best British album means a whole lot more to her than any American award. Too bad they didn’t let her give her acceptance speech.
As you can see in the video below, Adele was pretty rudely cut off from giving her speech because the award show’s producers were trying to stay on schedule and it was time for Blur to play a song. The name of the host escapes me, but he’s had a couple of great spots on Doctor who in the last couple years. When the situation happens on stage, he looks almost as uncomfortable as Mike Meyers after Kanye said “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.”
It wasn’t his fault, but he will probably catch some of the blame. Either way, it makes for an entertaining video.
