Upcycling usually only results in ugly, fairly useless items that hipsters spend all their money on. Thankfully, Cecilia Levy has been able to at least knock the ugly part out of the equation… I’m not sure if these things are functional or just art.
The Swedish artist has taken old Spider-Man comics and, using papier-mâché, turned them into eggshell-thin teacups, teapots, and saucers. The pieces aren’t just random clips either. each one tells a little story, like an action sequence between Spiderman and the supervillain Owl.
