January Jones seems to have it all. She’s on Mad Men. She’s in the best X-Men movie ever made. Her career is looking better than ever… so why are some of Hollywood’s elite calling her out? There are actually two stories here. The first story happened back at the end of May.
Zach Galifinakis was talking to THR about a recent interview in which January Jones had referred to him as “the most naturally funny man she’s ever met.”
It turns out that she either is a bit dim or has a very odd sense of humor. As Galifinakis recalled the story. he said their meeting was actually anything but pleasant or funny.
“I was at a party — I’d never met her — and she was like, ‘Come sit down.’ So I sit at her table and talk for 10 minutes, and she goes, ‘I think it’s time for you to leave now.’ So I say, ‘January, you are an actress in a show and everybody’s going to forget about you in a few years, so f—ing be nice,’ and I got up and left.”
…Ouch.
Having a story like that come out is bad enough, but then you’ve got JJ Abrams, director of ‘Super 8’, coming out with his commentary yesterday on her talent… or lack there of.
He was generally positive about ‘X-Men: First Class’, but here is what he had to say about January Jones on Twitter:
“Emma Frost’s THREE mutant powers,” Lindelof wrote on Twitter. “Telepathy, Transformation to Solid Diamond and last but not least, Sucking at Acting.”
What do you think? Does January Jones deserve all this criticism or is she destined for great things?
