Game Designer Becomes Real Hero: Dies Saving Wife and Baby

Brian Wood was the lead developer over at Relic, the company that created the popular game “In The Company of Heroes.” A couple weeks ago, he was killed in a horrible accident when a woman who allegedly was on a cocktail of different drugs decided to change her sweater behind the wheel and ended up in oncoming traffic.

Brian’s last act was to slam on his breaks and swerve his car so he took the full force of the accident, while his pregnant wife would be protected in the seat next to him.

There is no better word for Brian Wood than hero. We here at YBMW want to give out condolences to his family and we want to direct you to the fund that his friends have created to help his wife and child. Click here to donate.
