It’s hard to imagine two illustrators more iconic than William Stout and Moebius. Stout, along with creating several original works and illustrating several stories for Heavy Metal, also did concept design for several movies including Buck Rogers, Conan, First Blood, Men in Black and Pan’s Labyrinth. One film he worked on that never really got him any attention was the 1980s Masters of The Universe film starring Dolph Lundgren as He-Man and Frank Langella as Skeletor. Oh ya, it also had a young Courtney Cox.
Motumovie has collected some of the amazing work for the film and has now released it online. Check out amazing concept art for Skeletor, Beast Man, Man-At-Arms, She-Ra, and even an illustration of He-Man that he collaborated on with his good friend Moebius.
