Jake Gyllenhaal (Love and Other Drugs) was involved in a bathroom scuffle while at the Austin, Texas South By Southwest (SXSW) film festival.
The actor was reportedly using a urinal, taking a break from promoting his film “Source Code,” when a fan decided it was a good time to take a picture.
According to an unnamed source, “Gyllenhaal apparently grabbed the dude mid-photo, threw him against the wall and was like, ‘Are we really gonna do this right now?'”
The actor’s representative insisted that the alteration wasn’t so dramatic stating, “There was no scuffle, it was an excited fan who tried to take his picture in the restroom. He asked the guy to please delete it and he did! No drama.”
But Gyllenhaal himself later confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that there may have been “a rather heated scuffle”: “That’s true. I think it’s an appropriate space to keep privacy. I hope that people wouldn’t disagree with me on that.”
The confrontation led to police being called to the scene. Totally understandable, as I doubt anyone would want their picture taken while they’re trying to take a leak.
