3D printing has changed the game for creators and DIY enthusiasts, but now there’s a new Kickstarter campaign that intends to do for clothing what 3D printing has done for pretty much everything else. It’s called the Kniterate and it is promising to change the way the world makes clothing.
Their new Kickstarter campaign has already raised almost twice of their goal in just a couple of days and the hope is that it will put the power of what you wear into the hands of the individual. It will also mean that small clothing manufactures can prototype new designs in their offices and maybe even move production in-house instead of the common solution of hiring out to factories in India and Asia.
