A spokeswoman for actor Mickey Rourke recently publicized that the Oscar-nominated actor will no longer be taking his role as a professional wrestler into a real ring after all.
Originally slated to wrestler WWE superstar Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania 25 in April at Houston’s Reliant Stadium, Rourke has now backed out insisting that he’s “focusing entirely on his acting career.”
Rourke who portrays professional wrestler Randy ,”The Ram,” in the critically hailed movie “The Wrestler,” had surprised everyone by announcing that he was going to throw Jericho “around the ring like tossed salad” Sunday night on the red carpet before the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
I suppose to comes as no surprised that Rourke was just mouthing off, as one of the hottest actors currently in Hollywood, he’d be a fool to jeopardized his acting career for professional wrestler… A place where failed actors and has-beens usually go to hoping for some sort of career revival.
