Miranda Kerr Helps Australian Banker Ogling Her Photos Keep Job

An Australian banker caught viewing photos of model Miranda Kerr will keep his job, according to Macquarie Bank, after Kerr and several thousands of others came to the his defense.

The banker, Dave Kiely, was left red faced earlier this week when he was caught looking at Kerr’s scantily clad photos in the background of a live TV interview about interest rates.

Macquarie Bank called Kiely’s behavior “unacceptable” and said the issue was “being dealt with internally.”

Soon after the video went viral online, thousands flocked to help Kiely save his job by signing a petition that questioned whether he was the victim of a practical joke, since he was made to turn around at the end of the interview, a ‘Save Dave’ movement was born.

“Whether set up or not, Kiely was really only guilty of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. There but for the grace of God,” read the petition.

Soon Kerr, the 26-year-old Australian-born model engaged to Orlando Bloom, also stepped in to say the banker shouldn’t lose his job.

“I am told there is a petition to save his job, and of course I would sign it,” she said.

And it appears to have paid off, Macquarie Bank has relented and now confirms it doesn’t plan to get rid of Dave Kiely.

“He will remain an employee of Macquarie,” the company says in a statement. “Macquarie and the employee apologise for any offence that may have been caused.”

Macquarie didn’t specify any other measures against Kiely, only that “action had been taken” after talks with him.

In the meantime, here’s a small gallery featuring scantily clad photos of Kerr. Don’t get caught looking at work. Miranda can’t save everyone!
