Vegans who like sneakers are going to love this news. The company called Nat-2 has figured out a way to make a synthetic leather from the tinder sponge mushroom. The result is footwear that is vegan, and naturally anti-bacterial.
There’s something to be said for the fact that vegans are against eating animals but are all for eating mushrooms. Especially when you consider that fungus has created the natural equivalent of a neural network that stretches throughout large portions of the earth.
