Raku Inoue Turns Buds Into Bugs

While there are plenty of people who love insects, there are more people who are likely to scream and start stomping at the first sight of them. Perhaps if they saw these delicate creations from Raku Inoue, their opinions would change. In her insect sculpture series, ‘Natura Insects,’ The Canadian-based Japanese artist takes inspiration from a combination of the Japanese artforms of sumi-e (Ink Painting) and ikebana (flower arrangement) to re-create these delicate critters.
