Sock Puppets Parody Metallica, N.W.A., Rage Against the Machine, Nirvana, And More

When you grow up listening to Dr Demento every Sunday night under the covers like I did, you gain a certain appreciation for parody. While there are very few people out there that do it as well as Weird Al Yankovic, there is something to be said about being able to commit to the bit. That brings us to Sock Puppet Parody, a YouTube channel that has been faithfully recreating musical performances of (mostly metal) bands with new lyrics adapted to the fact that they are… well, they are socks.

There are few groups that are immune to their sock stylings and they’ve done everything from NWA’s “Straight Out the Hamper” to Disturbed’s “Let the laundry hit the floor!” and even Metallica’s “Master of Sock Puppets.”
