Earlier today, it was announced that Invader Zim would be returning to Nickelodeon for an original TV movie in 2018. Now, we’ve got the first teaser for the new film. Sure, there’s no actual video in this video, but it’s great to hear Richard Horvitz again as Invader Zim and Rosearik Rikki Simons as GIR. The new show will also be bringing back original voice actors Andy Berman and Melissa Fahn as Dib and Gaz Membrane.
With the new special Invader Zim joins other popular 90’s Nicktoons Hey Arnold! and Rocko’s Modern Life, which are both set to return this year for their own TV specials. In both of the latter shows, we know that the new TV movies will act as direct sequels to the original series. There’s a pretty solid chance that we can expect the same from the return of Jhonen Vasquez’s cult classic.
