‘X-Men: Wolverine’ Adds Several Japanese Actors To Cast

There won’t be an “Racebending” protests on the set of X-Men: Wolverine. A whole list of cast announcements came out today and they are all amazing Japanese actors! We still don’t know that much about the plot, other than it will be based off the time that Wolverine spends in Japan, becomes a samurai and falls in love… ok, I guess we know a decent amount about it. Now we are getting to see who will be on screen with Wolverine and who they will be playing:

First up is is Yun Lee. He’s been cast to play Enuichio Harada – AKA, The Silver Samurai. It is a safe bet that he will be the main bad guy in the film.

Next we’ve got Brian Tee. He’ll be playing Norubo Mori, “a corrupt minister of justice who is about to marry the daughter of a Yakuza crime lord”.

Hiroyuki Sanada will be filling the role of Shingen.

Hal Yamanouchi Has the Role of Yashida.

Tao Okamoto will be playing Mariko.

Rila Fukushima is Yukio.

It really looks like they are going out of the way to make the Japanese storyline as authentic as possible. It makes me really excited to see how it will all come out in the end.
