Ryan Reynolds may be the one breathing life into Deadpool on screen, but the merc with a mouth was born out of the mind of Rob Liefeld. To help celebrate the fans who have made him the sensation that he is today, Liefeld has a special treat for Comic Con attendees this week. He’ll be giving away 24 original Deadpool drawings to people who can decipher the clues on his social media. Get your running shoes on because they won’t all be inside the convention center. They’ll also be in restaurants, parties, and events all over San Diego’s Gaslamp District.
Here’s what the artist and former Levi’s commercial star had to say:
“I want to give something back to the tremendous fan following Deadpool has enjoyed since I introduced him in the pages of New Mutants #98!” Liefeld told me. “I’m also going to be utilizing clues through various web sites during the show to make it more interactive! Fans are encouraged to follow all my social media outlets on twitter, Instagram and periscope to get all the info surrounding the sketches and the times and clues surrounding their whereabouts.”
