A ‘Call Of Duty’ Movie On Its Way?

Kevin McKidd, the Scottish actor best known for his role as Lucius Vorenus in HBO’ “Romo,” recently spoke to the NY Post about his current prospective projects, and “Call of Duty” was dropped.

According to McKidd, the mega-hit video game “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” which debuted last week is apparently being shopped around for adaptation. If McKidd was brought on board, he would appear in a less-visual role playing Captain “Soap” MacTaviosh. This is really no surprise considering the genre and its immense popularity.

Here’s what McKidd had to say:
They were looking for a rough, Scottish actor in Hollywood they probably couldn’t get Gerard Butler, so they got the No. 2 Gerard Butler, me. I had no idea it would be so huge, and now there are talks of a feature film.

He was then asked if he would take part in the movie project, to which he replied:
If the script is good, and Gerard isn’t available [laughs], then absolutely.

McKidd who has also made appearances on the popular series “Grey’s Anatomy” and the canceled “Journeyman” is set to play Poseidon in the upcoming “Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lighting Thief.”
