Fans of the holiday classic “A Christmas Story” had the chance to celebrate the film’s 25th anniversary last weekend with a convention and trips to the house where the movie was filmed. Approximately 4,000 fans attended the convention where they had the chance to meet some of the film’s actors, watch documentaries about the film along with other cool stuff.
Perhaps one of the all-time greatest Christmas movies, “A Christmas Story” is an adaptation of Jean Shepard’s memoir of a boy growing up during the 1940s. It stars Peter Billingsley as Ralphie Parker who wants nothing more for Christmas than an Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action Two-Hundred-Shot Model Air Rifle. Seriously, if you haven’t heard or seen this movie yet, despite the fact that it’s broadcast all Christmas eve/day on TBS, you need to just end your misguided life now, because it’s meaningless.
But wait, you can still save yourself by watching the two clips below. And don’t forget to watch the marathon on Christmas day!
