Last week, it was announced that we’ll be getting four, 90 minute Netflix specials that bring the residents of Stars Hollow back into our lives. Now we know a little more about what to expect.
TVline is reporting that the four movies will feature a seasonal structure, with each one following a different season of the year (Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall)
Amy Palladino, the show’s creator will be returning to write and direct the movies, which will give her a chance to bring a resolution to her characters that she wasn’t able to give them when contract negotiations kept her from the final season of the TV series.
It’s also being reported that the show will take place in the present, which will help them account for the absence of Edward Herrmann, who sadly passed away in 2014.
Beyond that, there’s rumors that all of Rory’s men will return ( (Matt Czuchry), Jess (Milo Ventimiglia), and Dean (Jared Padalecki)), but no word on some of the big players like Melissa McCarthy, who may just legitimately be too busy with her skyrocketing career.
