For years now, there’s been talk of turning the classic Manga/ Anime, Akira, into an American movie. At one point, there was even talk of making recent Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio, Keneda. Now, Katsuhiro Otomo, the creator the manga and director of the film, dropped a bomb on fans at a French comic con recently when he revealed that he’s working on a TV adaptation of Akira.
Unfortunately, he wouldn’t five more details than the fact that it was being considered, but we will track the story for any additional details as they surface.
We’ve got so many questions…
Will it be live action or animated?
Will it be a retelling of Akira?
Will it be a next chapter?
