We’ve got a ton of announcements for you from the Disney Investors meeting, but the first bit of news isn’t about Star Wars or a traditional Disney license. We reported a couple of days ago that it’s possible that we could get an Aliens series based on the FOX movie franchise. Now that new is not only confirmed, but we know that Legion showrunner Noah Hawley is directing the show with Ridley Scott on board as the EP.
According to Deadline, the new series is slated to be the first Aliens story that takes place on Earth. The series will take place in the near future and will aim to blend the horror of the original Alien with the action of Aliens.
