By now, half the country has seen “District 9” Neill Blomkamp’s innovative new look at the alien encounter movie, produced by Weta’s Peter Jackson was a masterpiece. Well, what many people don’t know is that several years earlier, Neill made a short film that laid the groundwork for the movie. This 6 minute short film plays out like a mini- District 9.
