Am I Dreaming? ‘Ghostbusters 3’ To Begin Production May 2011!

Production Weekly tweets that Sony Pictures “is planning to put Ivan Reitman’s Ghostbusters 3 into production in May 2011.”

While I won’t start doing backflips, I will let out an emphatically loud fanboy cheer of “WOOOO!” But again, this is coming from a Tweet and even if it is true, it may not actually happen because things constantly change.

For now, I’ll temper my expectations until casting and filming actually begins. I want this to happen so badly. I know you do too and so many other people. Let’s all collectively cross our fingers and just hope for the best.

Last we left it, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis are rewriting the script. Director Ivan Reitman was also quoted as a possible director, who still has interest in directing.
