Earlier today IESB reported that the “new” Captain Kirk, Chris Pine, is rumored to be in the lead for WB’s much anticipated Green Lantern film which begins production later this year.
Sadly, this rumor has been squashed by Collider who reports that it isn’t true according to their sources. While we at Bent Wookie have no idea who’s in the running, we do know that casting has barely begun and the type of guy WB is looking for to play the most popular emerald knight, Hal Jordan, is certainly not Anton Yelchin.
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
