Animated ‘Blade Runner’ Series Coming From Adult Swim/ Crunchyroll

Blade Runner fans are in luck, Adult Swim and Crunchyroll are teaming up for a new animated series that takes place in the universe inspired by Philip K. Dick‘s “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?”. The show is running under the title Blade Runner – Black Lotus, and it being produced along with Alcon Television Group. It will take inspiration from Blade Runner 2049, but will tell a new story over the course of 13 episodes. The show will also be set in the year 2032 and will feature some characters that we’ve seen in other installments of the franchise.

Interestingly, Black Lotus will be animated by Sola Digital Arts, the company getting new attention for their upcoming Netflix Ultraman series.
