An animated demo of Garth Ennis, Amanda Conner, Jimmy Palmiotti and Paul Mounts’ “The Pro” has surfaced online.
The 2002 one-shot from Image Comics is a satirical spin about the adventures of a prostitute superhero. This video summarizes the heavily adult narrative graphic novel and serves as one of the best written superhero parodies.
Although there’s been talk of a possible live action/animated version of Ennis’ “The Pro,” it seems like this clip is all we’re going to get for now. The entire bit is eight minutes long and is animated in a motion comic style that’s very faithful to the original source material and Conner’s art. It’s censored slightly for the nudity, but the language remains the same and yes… she still gives a super villain a golden shower in front of a bunch of people.
