Well, ready or not here it comes. According to ComingSoon, who just had a chance to sit down with Oren Aviv, the head of Production for Disney, not only is Pirates 4 on the way, but they are getting ready to begin shooting in early 2010.
“We’re going to shoot Pirates 4 in April and May of next year,” Aviv said. “We are going to release it hopefully in 2011.”
The goal is for the movie to be the first part of another trilogy, but that the films would be shot one at a time and not back to back like the first set.
Also at question is who will be behind the Camera. The director of the first three, Gore Verbinski, had left the project a while back in favor of the Bioshock movie, but with that movie on the skids, there’s a chance that we’ll see him back in pirate town.
