Arnold’s Return To Acting Means Possible New Life For Terminator

It seemed like Arnold Schwarzeneggerwas only out of the Governor’s office for a couple minutes before he sent out a tweet about his return to acting. He said that he’s been getting offers the whole time he was in office, and he was excited to get back to it. Now it is starting to look like one of his most popular characters might be the one he uses to get back on the big screen.

There has recently been a lot of movement on the Terminator franchise. Apparently Salvation didn’t kill it as much as most people thought. Most of the motion is with Universal who is looking for a directing project for Justin Lin of the Fast and Furious franchise.

If it happens, you can probably expect to see Chris Morgan by his side. Morgan is in the newest FF installment ‘Fast Five’ and is set to star in ’47 Ronin’ with Keanu Reeves.

The Terminator license was picked up by a hedge fund in bankruptcy court for around $30 million last year, but with the hunger for more 3D action, it sounds like this might just be the way to bring it back.

Personally, I have to side with one of the commenters on Deadline. He should absolutely do something like a comedy first to get his feet wet. Starting out with a huge tent pole production could be suicide… especially after how bad the last movie was.
