Aronofsky Revvs Up for Robocop

A while back there was some buzz about Darren Aronofsky doing a Robocop Reboot. Withe the advent of the Wrestler, he can pretty much name his next project and this one sounds like it could be really interesting. In fact, everything he’s told us so far makes me think that his version will be very different than the original.

“The thing that’s exciting for a filmmaker like me about [“RoboCop”] is that it’s not as iconic as some of the other titles out there, so there’s room to do stuff with it,” Aronofsky told MTV’s Movie Blog during his Golden Globes red-carpet walk. “The world has so changed—how much every one of us is somewhat of a cyborg at this point with cell phones hanging out of us, with implants of all different types.”

I’d buy that for a dollar!
