That’s right, the short lived, but critically acclaimed series that has been promising a movie for the last few years is now adding another new promise to the list… a new season of the Arrested Development on TV! The plan right now is to make ten new episodes that bridge the five year gap between the series and the movie. Each episode will feature one character from the show and will recap everything that they’ve been up to. The series will culminate in some sort of climax that acts as the catalyst for the movie’s plot. Right now the two main contenders for the show are Showtime and Netflix. This would be a major boon for Netflix as everyone pretty much hates them right now.
The show’s will shoot next summer alongside the movie. Then they will all be released in 2013. The plan is still to have the whole Bluth clan, Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, Portia de Rossi, Michael Cera, Tony Hale, Jeffrey Tambor, David Cross, Alia Shawkat and Jessica Walter participate in both sides of the deal.
