Disney’s Pandora Theme Park is set to open in a couple of weeks and it will feature some story spoilers for the upcoming Avatar sequels. That’s because the first sequel was supposed to have been released in theaters yet. It’s a good thing for ‘Fear the Walking Dead’ Star Cliff Curtis, because now he’s been cast in a leading role that is being described by director James Cameron as major role in the story arc of Avatar 2, Avatar 3, Avatar 4, and Avatar 5.
The role he’s signed on for is that of Tonowari, the leader of the Metkayina reef people clan. This marks the first new casting for the upcoming sequels which are already slated to bring back Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, and Sigourney Weaver. While this is great news for Cliff Curtis’ career, it probably does not bode well for his character on AMC’s Walking Dead Spin-Off as it heads into its fourth season.
Avatar 2 and 3 are set for release in December 2020 and 2021, with Avatar 4 and 5 following in December 2024 and 2025.
